Emancipation Fellowship Ministries (EFM) is thrilled to partner with Ohyandis Mentroe, a student at Abilene Christian University who is passionate about Liberia and aims to help his nation continue to progress. EFM recognizes his recent achievements, including visits to the United Nations and Harvard University, where he engaged with African peers and heads of state. Together, they plan to establish Dr. Andrew J. Hairston Bridge to Liberia Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships for Liberian students to attend Christian schools in the U.S., especially graduates from Wells/Hairston High School in Monrovia. This school, founded by Dr. Andrew J. Hairston and Dr. Roosevelt Wells, has a rich history and has hosted inspiring visits from President George Weah, who encourages students to pursue education with determination and resilience.
